Hi Matt, thanks for responding. I read about this case as soon as it happened in the Stars and Stripes. I am a military member.

Matt, most moral people do not participate in websites where they can meet people and have sex with them the first time they meet. He had gay (abnormal) sex, which when admitted to, is against the rules and regulations of the military. It was the LT Col's lewd and lascivious lifestyle that caught up to him, to be honest. If he had not had sex with this person the first time they met at his home, then the person might have had second thoughts about him making a rape allegation against the Lt Col. My point was that most media outlets do not make mention of how he was "outed" but that he was "outed" by a third party (which is not a legitimate reason to cause a military investigation) and that this Lt Col is such a innocent hero and that he has nine Air Medals. No one makes note that he had a nude picture of himself on a gay website, which probably promoted more lewd and lascivious people to his page because they thought he was a lewd and lascivious person too, and that they wanted to have gay abnormal sex. No one makes mention that he trolls the gay web sites looking for other men to have sex with, YUCK. The USAF is bound by Congressional Law to discharge the 'gay pilot', as he is now known as, from the USAF. The President cannot direct an Executive Order that goes against a Constitutionally supported LAW. President Truman could write the E.O. in desegregating the Armed Forces because there was no Congressional Law stating that the Armed Forces will be segregated by racial background. So it's not directly up to our President. Congress has to repeal the Law, which I hope does not happen because having openly LGBT folks serve in the military is against good order and discipline and will kill morale. The studies and surveys that support otherwise are not well founded. Matt, I assume you are a man and I have to ask you, would you want your wife who hypothetically serves in the military to take a shower with a man? Most moral people and those that love their spouse would say 'no', so you have to realize that when you put a homosexual in the shower with a heterosexual that is the situation you create.

Please read the Congressional law (10 U.S. Code Section 654) that prohibits homosexual (abnormal) behavior in the Armed Forces, Congress has exclusive control over the military according to the Constitution, Section 8 Article I. It is very well written and is very true. Once most people read it they see the light :) Thanks for your response and I hope you have a great day.

PS. I'm also against the repeal of the DOMA law too. I love the definition of marriage is between one man and one woman!! Those words could never be truer. Who ever heard of a man marrying another man? Crazy and very abnormal. A man and a woman having sex are the only way a child can be conceived and please do not talk to me about test tube babies, artificial insemination, etc. Two men having ANAL sex cannot produce a baby, perhaps just a sore booty, YUCK! The same goes with two women having 'sex' nothing can come from it but a sore tongue, hehehe. So as you can see I am a normal heterosexual and am not for any LGBT political agenda to legalize and same sex marriage BS. Thanks and take care! PAH.

I'm assuming you didn't notice, but this post is from three months before the circumstances of Lt. Col. Fehrenbach's outing were made public. You can find my earlier reaction to the false claims of rape against him here.

Fehrenbach isn't being booted because he used an internet dating site. He's being booted because he successfully defended himself against rape charges.

And if we're going to kick out every soldier who has sex, there are going to be a lot of empty Air Force bases.

Funny, how this article doesn't talk about how the Gay LtCol patrols gay websites, meets men and invites them back to his house for lascivious and perverted gay sexual encounters. How many times a week does he do this? how many times a month? His naked body was on this perverted gay website. All of this is 'OK' because the Lt Col has nine air medals right? The Air Force has an obligation to separate this gay pilot because Congress has passes the law to make the military expel openly gay homosexuals, the abnormal lifestyle, not the alternate lifestyle. Congress should not change the law; it should enforce the law. Yea!!

Agree 100%. Unfortunately, that was really the only way to make it happen when the law was first passed in 1992. People still thought of HIV/AIDS as a gay disease, and the proponents knew damn well that that would set up major opposition without even getting to the bill's contents.

So they made a white kid who got it from a blood transfusion (VERY early on) the face of the bill, and fortunately that got it through.

There is absolutely no reason in the world why this gay marriage matter should even be an issue in the year 2009! All humans are equals, as explicitly laid out in the U.S. Constitution. PERIOD. The mere fact that civil rights are being actively denied is clearly completely un-Constitutional and wrong. It's un-American. The Supreme Court needs to step in and declare this pathetic vote every bit as invalid as they claim gay marriages to be, and rule once and for all that gay marriages are legal throughout every inch of land that is America.

Oh, I so agree with you and badkitty. Separate but not equal is not equal. If it is different it is not the same. And I really get what you mean about letting the enemy choose the battlefield. Like Loving v. Virginia (see my post for today), this will likely be decided in the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, if it were before the Supreme Court today, I don't know what the outcome would be--or maybe I do. It probably wouldn't be pretty. If it is not the same for everyone, it is discriminatory and state laws that are discriminatory must be overridden at the national level.

I am completely in agreement with you. Why are we putting ourselves through this pain and anguish trying to push through legislation on the local level only to have it turn into a ballot measure in which the populace gets to vote away our rights.

This needs to be a national, legislative civil rights initiative. I am tired of the roller-coaster of emotions as others vote on my family. How do take it to the national level, what needs to be done to generate the drive needed to take it to Washington, to the courts and get this done?

I do not remember another time in the history of our country where the rights of a minority were repeatedly up to the voting choice of the majority. I live in the south, if a racial initiative was on the ballot to reintroduce segregation, it would pass. In the anonymity of the ballot box people are bigots.

Great spokesperson. If he could be heard through the right medium, where he's not fighting another person for talk time (i.e. last time on CNN), he'd convince many people.
And I love how Choi has very strong Asian facial features, not at all in synch with what white Westerners would usually consider charismatic, yet he oozes charisma, you just wait for him to say anything and you can feel it; he's got poise, allure, this decidely-American accent. It's like...he's gay, Christian, military, he's not white. and can articulate English better than your white "Where's danner, mam? Gnnn, mmmmnnnn." teenage son. He's the All-American package.
In short, I think his appeal as an unofficial spokesperson for the cause goes deeper than just being gay and in the military. Am I making any sense?

I just say to those who think they have the definitive standard of Christianity that if they lived 500 years ago, they'd be chastised for their beliefs just like what they are doing to others right now.

No one can claim the ultimate final understanding of the Bible, that's the reason why it's such a powerful book. If a church could actually do that, then the Bible wouldn't be the Bible, but the doctrine of the Church. The Bible is more powerful then the Church, so any Church claiming it is the key to the Bible is saying it's bigger then God....

I say then...why stop at inter-racial couples...
Under this code, it's feasible for these officials to not perform marriages for poor people because they feel morally obligated to not participate in this poor straight or gay couples joining and bringing a child into the world that they cannot support financially...
Or not perform marriages for people with certain inheritable diseases because it's morally wrong to allow condone this couple to participate in procreation because they are continuing a bad gene...
Or not perform marriages for those who do not believe in your religion since it would mean they would be bringing children and raising them not believing in your own religion and hence would be in essence condemning them to hell...
It's the kind of law that sooner or later could be twisted around to bite those people who created this law back in their a**.

Here's the thing. I absolutely disagree with just about everything that "pastorchurch" has posted, but I also really disagree with what you posted.

I also understand that it's the atmosphere of fear and hate generated by people like "pastorchurch" that causes the vitriol that some people have against Christianity. In other words, I disagree with what you're saying, but I understand why you feel that way. Sometimes I feel that way too. I hope that makes sense.

And with that, I'm closing comments on this post. We're so far afield that it's offensive to the real substance of this post, and I don't think there's anything new to be said.

My happiness doesn't matter. God is displeased and marriage doesn't exist between 1 man and 1 woman if God is not involved - nothing has been joined together by God. If a Hindu get married in America doesn't matter. America doesn't make someone a Christian. We are ALL second class citizens in America. We didn't make this land nor did we start here. We are all descendents of immigrants. Second class to the Natives. But Marriage is a Holy Union performed by God. Take one of the following away: man, woman, God and put something else in its place, then no marriage.

Just as Christ wants us all to be at the 'wedding supper of the lamb'. Only those who Trust Jesus as the Way, Truth & Life will be in attendance. If Jesus lives in you - then you would practice God's word as He would. He said, "For this reason, God created them male and female" that a man shall leave his father and mother and be 'joined' to his wife. Has nothing to do with nationality.

Yes Solomon had many "strange women". The word Marriage is not use here. Read the passage in 1 Kings 11:1-14 and see just how upset God was with Solomon that He brought adversaries against him. It even states in the "Word of God" that this "displeased the Lord greatly". So no this union with many 'wives' was not Holy before God and therefore; was no greater than two women who have loved each other for the great majority of their adult lives and raised 4 children together in a stable relationship. Solomon was wrong just as those who choose 'marry another of the same sex'. Read Matt 19:9.

The last part of this translation is Not included in the greek language. However the terms are not the same. And it was not this way from the beginning, beginning, beginning, beginning, (where it started, came from, originated).

Mark 10:6 (NKJV) "But from the beginning of the creation, God `made them male and female.' 7 `For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 `and the two shall become one flesh'; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 "Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

The term for marriage is not the same term used in the greek here for 'marries another'. Marriage is a Holy Union performed by God. The 'marries another' is Aorist Active Subjunctive - Beginning in the past - decided and acted upon by the individual in the relationship without God - and completely decided on his own. God is not involved in the 'marries another' relationship. His use of the term 'marries another' is not the same as Marriage.

The term for 'joining together' is proskollathasetai. This is what God referred to in the book of Genesis when He brought the woman to the man and like Jesus referred to here in the New Testament quoting the Old Testament - 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be Joined Together'

Study your Hebrew and Greek and don't rely upon the translation your using. Marriage was not a social institution: it was a Holy Union performed by God. You

So if I'm Hindu, and I get married in America, then what? Or would you rather that all of us who don't believe as you do be kicked out of America? Or can we stay, but just be second class citizens to you and your christian brethren, where our marriages aren't accepted by the courts, and our ways are not tolerated. Perhaps we should all wear some sign on out clothes to let you know you are not dealing with one of your own. Would that make you happy?
